Artist's Description
A vibrant and colorful New York skyline.
The painting style is impressionistic to expressionistic, with bold, impasto palette knife strokes that lend the scene a dynamic texture.
The architecture is detailed but stylized, featuring tall skyscrapers, historic buildings with distinctive clocks and golden roofs, and closely spaced residential buildings. The color palette consists of warm yellows, oranges, and reds for the buildings, while the sky is painted in shades of blue, creating a strong contrast.
The composition is dense and full of detail, capturing the energy and bustling city life. The painting conveys a warm, almost romantic atmosphere and depicts New York in an artistic, almost dreamlike way.
Oil painting on canvas using palette knife technique, signed front and back.
Professionally crafted in Germany, made of softwood. Hand-stretched.
July 2020.
